Here is an app that will tell you about “outbreaks near me.” YEY! Finally, an app has been made to create hysteria and panic among everyone with an iPhone. Here is the description of the app.
With HealthMap’s Outbreaks Near Me application, you have all of HealthMap’s latest real-time disease outbreak information at your fingertips. Open the app and see all current outbreaks in your neighborhood, including news about H1N1 influenza (”swine flu”). Search and browse outbreak reports on the interactive map, and set up the app to alert you with a notice automatically whenever an outbreak is occurring in your area. If you spy an outbreak, be the first to report it using the app’s unique outbreak reporting feature. You will get credit as a disease detective and your find will be featured on the website.
I love this clip. I think it is hilarious! While I have never had the breakdown seen in this clip, I can truly appreciate a nice pair of sweatpants in times of need. Hope you enjoy and this catches H-Town up on JTubes. Hope to post some other thoughts later today. Feel free to answer the question below or go to Jewlarious.com and comment there. Enjoy!
This is a very important question that I have always struggles with. I love my family and, thank G-d, I love my work. I have worked very hard in the area over the years and still have miles to trek in this area, although I am happy to say that I have no plans on retiring from my family. Feel free to answer the question above here or go to Jewlarious.com and comment there. Enjoy!
I am reminded of a people magazine article I read a few years back where non-Jewish teens were begging their parents to make them a Bar or Bat Mitzvah as they were jealous of the extravagant ones their Jewish friends were having. I thought my blogcation was over, but the start of the new school has been amazing, but very busy. I hope to find time in the wee hours of the night to post as I do enjoy it. My first task is to update the past few weeks of JTubes, so below is the first one from the movie “Rat Race” Feel free to answer the question below or go to Jewlarious.com and comment there. Enjoy!
During my vacation to Los Angeles, I had the very cool experience of taking a night hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. On its own the hike was amazing. However, I was introduced to a modern age worldwide treasure hunt called GeoCaching. Basically, people place containers called “geocaches” all over the world and log their latitude and longitude location to be found using a GPS. We found one on our hike (see below) and I was hooked.
When I got back to H-Town I signed up at Geocaching.com and also bought their iPhone app. Last night, I tried it out while I was driving and found a GeoCache tied to a light pole. No treasure in it, but it did have a log book marked with hundreds of previous treasure hunters. For someone like me this is a great activity. Hiking is fun once in a while, but hiking with a goal of finding a treasure that is accomplished using my iPhone, now that is an adventure.
I am back from my Blogcation. Had an amazing trip to Los Angeles and there is so much to write about. I am dedicating this week to writing about some of my fantastic experiences. This is one of the more active vacations I have had in a while and I am exhausted. Luckily, I am back at work tomorrow so rest will have to wait. Anyway, it is good to be back in H-Town. Below is a list of things I did during my blogcation and I hope to write in more detail about some of them.

I am on a blogcation and an actual vacation. However, I will try to post a few things while I am away. I had an amazing night hike last night and was exposed to something called GeoCaching which I will expose my fellow H-Towners to. Right now I am looking out a hotel room overlooking the La Jolla coves as the sun goes down. I have met up with some good old friends and have been reinspired to pursue some of my personal quests. So, all in all this has been a good vacation and it is not over yet. So, I hope to fill you in when I return and maybe I will drop a post or two while I am gone.
Enjoy this weeks JTube from Jewlarious.com. It is a clip I edited from BEE MOVIE and asks “Are we stuck in our jobs forever”? Feel free to post here or go to Jewlarious.com and post a comment below the video. ENJOY!
A local H-Towner sent this to me. It is truly amazing. The creation of the the thunderstorm is unreal and the song is fantastic, and all of it done without any musical instruments or sound effects except the instrument created by G-d, the human instrument. Truly amazing! Enjoy!
